The Nonprofit Resource Center of Alabama (NRCA) is a membership organization open to any nonprofit organization in Alabama with IRS Section 501-C status. Businesses and individuals are also invited to join as well. Current membership numbers over 400. NRCA is located in Birmingham, but members can access services from anywhere in the state by telephone, e-mail, visits, or participation in programs held in locations throughout Alabama. NRCA is Alabama's only centralized source of information, programs and services specifically designed to meet the needs of Alabama's nonprofit community. The NRCA Advocacy and Information Network is a new internet-based mechanism for keeping NRCA Members up-to-date on urgent issues relevant to the nonprofit sector. It will also allow members and their supporters to more easily participate in targeted grassroots advocacy campaigns coordinated by NRCA.
